What does Paper jam (DADF) mean?

Paper has become jammed within the Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) while attempting to scan or copy. The originals are jammed and cannot proceed through the scanner.

• Misaligned paper in the DADF
• Too much paper loaded into the DADF
• Damaged or wrinkled paper

   Carefully open the DADF cover and any access panels.

   Gently pull out any visible jammed paper in the direction of the paper path.

   Check thoroughly for any small, torn pieces of paper and remove them.

   Ensure the paper guides in the DADF are correctly set for the document size you are using.

   Close all DADF covers securely.
