What does Abnormal noise (scanner) mean?

The scanner mechanism is producing unusual or loud noises during operation. This indicates a potential mechanical issue within the scanner unit.

• Scanner Motor malfunction
• Mechanical obstruction in the CCD carriaging part
• Issue with the Motor Driver in the Driver PBA

   Turn off the printer and open the scanner unit access cover.

   Visually inspect the scanner motor and the CCD carriage area for any foreign objects or obstructions like paper clips or debris.
