Jam 1 — Paper jam just after the fuser unit

What does Jam 1 mean?

A paper jam has occurred immediately after the fuser unit, often caused by multiple sheets feeding at once or problems with the paper exit mechanism.

• Double feeding of paper sheets from the tray
• Feed actuator position or operation issue
• Exit lever operation problem, blocking paper path
• Paper wrapped around the heat roller in the fuser

   Turn off the printer and carefully remove any jammed paper visible in the fuser exit area.

   Ensure paper is well stocked in the paper feeder and not overloaded.

   Check the paper tray for any foreign objects or debris that might cause double feeds.

   Reload the paper tray, making sure the paper is clean, flat, and not creased.
