What does C2 Locked Out Due to High Pressure mean?

This alarm occurs when 24 VAC power is lost from the HPS2 terminal, indicating a high-pressure condition in refrigeration circuit 2. Multiple occurrences within an hour will cause a hard lockout.

Common Causes

  • High pressure switch activated
  • Dirty or blocked condenser coil
  • Condenser fan or low ambient control not working
  • Improper SEC board configuration
  • System overcharged
  • Blocked liquid line filter
  • Faulty TXV (Thermostatic Expansion Valve)
  • Loose wire connection on the high pressure switch
