Whirlpool · Cabrio Washing Machines

What does F7E3 mean?

This fault is displayed when the main control determines that the shifter mechanism is not disengaging the basket for the wash cycle, or is not engaging it correctly for spin. This results in the basket being engaged when it should be free during the wash phase.

Common Causes

  • Faulty shifter mechanism or its connectors.
  • Clothing or another item wedged between the impeller and the basket, binding them together.
  • The shifter slider is not moving freely due to obstruction or damage.
