F0E2 — Oversuds

Whirlpool · Cabrio Washing Machines

What does F0E2 mean?

This fault is displayed when excessive suds prevent the basket from reaching proper spin speed, or the pressure sensor detects an abnormally high suds level. The washer will attempt to clear suds by flushing with water.

Common Causes

  • Not using High-Efficiency (HE) detergent.
  • Using an excessive amount of detergent.
  • Pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking pressure hose connection from tub to main control.
  • Mechanical friction on the drive mechanism or basket due to items between the basket and tub.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Always use only High-Efficiency (HE) detergent and use the recommended amount for your load size.

  2. 2

Check the pressure hose connection from the tub to the main control for kinks, blockages, or air leaks.

  3. 3

Unplug the washer and carefully check for any small items (e.g., clothing) wedged between the inner basket and outer tub.

  4. 4

Run an empty rinse and spin cycle with no detergent to help clear any residual suds.
