Loss of Temperature

Loss of Temperature notification — Grill temperature dropped below set point

Weber · SmokeFire Grills

What does Loss of Temperature mean?

The grill is failing to maintain the desired cooking temperature, most commonly due to a lack of fuel.

Common Causes

  • Insufficient pellets in the hopper.
  • Pellet stacking preventing fuel from reaching the auger.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Open the hopper lid and check that there are enough pellets.

  2. 2

Visually inspect for pellet stacking. If present, use the included scraper to push pellets down toward the auger.

  3. 3

Refill the hopper with WEBER SMOKEFIRE ALL NATURAL HARDWOOD PELLETS, and close the hopper lid.

  4. 4

Keep the grill lid closed; the SMOKEFIRE grill will automatically attempt to recover to the set temperature.
