Blinking icons and activated countdown timer

Blinking icons and activated countdown timer — Grill in Shutdown Procedure

When you initiate a shutdown, the grill display will show blinking icons and a countdown timer. This indicates the grill is actively clearing the burn pot of remaining pellets and ashes to prepare for the next cook.

Cleaning Icon

Cleaning Icon visible — Reminder to clean the grill

The Cleaning Icon will appear on the display to remind you that your grill is due for cleaning. Regular cleaning and maintenance are important for optimal grill performance.

E1

E1 — Auger Jam

This error indicates that the auger, which feeds pellets into the burn pot, is jammed. This can prevent pellets from reaching the fire.

E10

E10 — Improper Shutdown

This error indicates that the grill was not properly shut down after use. An interrupted shutdown procedure can lead to accumulated ash or component failure over time.

E11

E11 — Glow Plug Failure

This error indicates that the glow plug, which ignites the pellets to start the fire, is not working correctly. This will prevent the grill from igniting.

E16

E16 — Grill ID Error

This error suggests a problem with the grill's identification system, which might affect its ability to connect to the WEBER CONNECT app or operate correctly.

E17

E17 — Probe Hub Error Notification

This is a notification indicating a potential issue with the probe hub where food temperature probes connect. It suggests that the hub might not be functioning optimally.

E18

E18 — Temperature Drop Notification

This notification indicates that the grill's temperature has unexpectedly dropped below the set point during a cook. This can affect cooking times and food quality.

E19

E19 — Flame Out Notification

This notification alerts you that the flame has gone out in the burn pot during operation, similar to an E3 error but presented as a notification first. The grill is no longer producing heat.

E2

E2 — Fan Motor Failure

This error means the fan motor, which supplies oxygen to the burn pot to fuel the fire, is not working correctly. This can lead to the flame dying out or not starting.

E20

E20 — Dirty Fuel Gauge Notification

This notification indicates that the fuel gauge lens may be dirty, which can lead to inaccurate readings of the pellet level (on select models only).

E21

E21 — Low Fuel Notification

This notification indicates that the pellet level in the hopper is low and needs to be refilled soon (on select models only). This helps prevent the grill from running out of fuel during cooking.

E3

E3 — Loss of Flame

This error indicates that the grill has detected that the flame in the burn pot has gone out during operation. This prevents the grill from maintaining its set temperature.

E4

E4 — Communication Error

This error signifies a problem with communication within the grill's internal systems, or possibly with the WEBER CONNECT app. This can prevent the controller from properly managing grill operations.

E5

E5 — Grill Too Hot

This error indicates that the grill's internal temperature has exceeded its safe operating limits. This is a critical error to prevent damage to the grill and ensure safety.

E6

E6 — Flame Not Started

This error means the grill attempted to ignite the pellets, but a flame was not detected. This prevents the grill from reaching its desired cooking temperature.

E7

E7 — Auger Motor Failure

This error indicates a problem with the motor that drives the auger, preventing it from feeding pellets into the burn pot. This will stop the grill from operating.

E8

E8 — Thermocouple Error

This error signals a problem with the thermocouple, which is the sensor that measures the grill's internal temperature. An inaccurate reading can lead to improper heating or overheating.

E9

E9 — Fuel Gauge Error Notification

This is a notification indicating a potential issue with the fuel gauge, which measures the pellet level. It alerts you to possible inaccuracies in the pellet level reading (on select models only).

Error Icon

Error Icon m visible — An error or notification has occurred

The Error Icon will appear on your Weber Connect Digital LCD Controller. A specific error code or notification message will be shown in the Main Quadrant of the display, indicating a problem with the grill.

Screen not lit

Screen not lit — Grill is asleep or not powered

If the grill's screen is not lit, it may be in sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity (if no food probes are plugged in) or not receiving power.
