A "display error" occurs if the defrost cycle for the freezer compartment does not complete after heating continuously for more than 70 minutes. This suggests a defrost system malfunction.

Unplug the Refrigerator from the power outlet.
Observe if there is excessive frost or ice buildup in the freezer compartment.
Wait 1-2 minutes, then plug the Refrigerator back in to attempt a system reset.
If ice buildup is severe, manually defrost the freezer by emptying it and leaving the door open for several hours (unplugged).
