F40 -11 — Compressor suction line temperature sensor shorted or broken

What does F40 -11 mean?

The temperature sensor on the compressor suction line is faulty. It may be shorted, broken, or disconnected. A closed service valve can also cause this.

• The suction line temperature sensor is damaged.
• Wiring to the sensor is loose or broken.
• Service valve is closed.
• Sensor connector is faulty.
