Room Sensor Issue

Inaccurate Room Temperature — Temperature display or control problems

NIBE · F750 Heat Pump

What does Room Sensor Issue mean?

The F750 display shows an incorrect room temperature, or the system isn't controlling the room temperature as expected. This can happen if the room sensor is not installed, not activated, or poorly placed.

Common Causes

  • Room sensor (BT50) not installed or incorrectly connected
  • Room sensor not activated in menu 1.9.4
  • Sensor obstructed (e.g., in a recess, behind a curtain, near a heat source, in a draft, direct sunlight)
  • Closed radiator thermostats affecting temperature readings

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the room sensor (BT50) is correctly installed on a free inner wall, approximately 1.5 m above the floor.

  2. 2

Check that the sensor is not obstructed by furniture, curtains, heat sources, or drafts, and is not in direct sunlight.

  3. 3

Ensure the sensor is connected to X6:3 and X6:4 on the input circuit board (AA3).

  4. 4

Activate the room sensor in menu 1.9.4 if it is intended to control or change the room temperature.

  5. 5

Check that radiator thermostats in the room are not completely closed.
