P6 (1503) - Freeze protection triggered (Branch box or Indoor unit)

What does P6 mean?

The Mitsubishi Electric PUMY Air Conditioner system has detected a risk of freezing within the branch box or an indoor unit and has activated freeze protection. This prevents potential damage to the coils.

• Low refrigerant charge or flow
• Insufficient airflow over the indoor coil (e.g., dirty filter)
• Indoor fan motor issue causing reduced airflow

   Note the error code displayed on the remote controller or outdoor unit.

   Check the indoor unit's air filter and clean or replace it if it appears dirty or clogged.

   Ensure that nothing is blocking the airflow to or from the indoor unit's return and supply vents.

   Power off the Mitsubishi Electric PUMY Air Conditioner system at the main electrical breaker.

   Wait for at least 30 seconds, then restore power to the system.
