P5 (2502) - Drain overflow protection activated

What does P5 mean?

The drain pan of the Mitsubishi Electric PUMY Air Conditioner has reached an overflow level, triggering the protection mechanism to prevent water damage. The system will automatically cease operating.

• Clogged condensate drain line
• Faulty condensate drain pump
• Malfunctioning drain level sensor
• Excessive humidity causing high condensate production

   Note the error code displayed on the remote controller or outdoor unit.

   Check for any visible blockages or clogs in the condensate drain line, and clear any debris from the drain pan.

   Power off the Mitsubishi Electric PUMY Air Conditioner system at the main electrical breaker.

   Wait for at least 30 seconds, then restore power to the system.
