E30 — High Pressure Switch HPS Abnormality

What does E30 mean?

This error indicates that the high pressure switch (HPS) has disconnected, signaling an abnormal high pressure condition in the system. If this occurs 3 times in an hour, the failure will be confirmed as unresumable.

Common Causes

  • Excessive refrigerant charge in the system.
  • Poor airflow over the outdoor coil due to blockages or dirty fins.
  • A faulty high pressure switch.
  • A problem with the outdoor fan.
