Error 8 — Discharge temperature too high protection

What does 8 mean?

Compressor discharge temperature has exceeded 115°C. The error clears if the temperature drops below 115°C within 3 minutes. It locks if it occurs 3 times in 1 hour.

Common Causes

  • The sensor is bad or fixed improperly
  • The system is clogged
  • The system lacks refrigerant
  • The valve opening is incorrect

    Check if sensor wiring is firmly in place.

    Check if the system is clogged and clean the piping system.

  3. 3

    Check if the system is low on refrigerant and charge it if necessary.

  4. 4

    Check if the PMV coil wiring is okay and if the stop valve is open.

  5. 5

    Replace wire and test again if sensor resistance is not within range.
