Error 10 — Defrost sensor fault

What does 10 mean?

There is an electrical failure with the sensor used to measure the outdoor coil temperature during the defrost cycle. This sensor connects to the PCB at Plug CN-14.

Common Causes

  • Loose sensor connection
  • Open or shorted sensor
  • Sensor is out of calibration
  • Faulty sensor wiring
