Error 44 — High pressure detected in system

What does 44 mean?

This error means the system has detected high pressure. It occurs when the minimum temperature of indoor or outdoor pipes is too low during cooling mode, or when specific outdoor temperatures are too low during heating mode.

Common Causes

  • High pressure sensor detection value is incorrect
  • Refrigerant overcharge
  • Blocked liquid line piping
  • Outdoor heat exchanger electronic expansion valve failure during heating
  • Operation environment is beyond the allowed range

    Power on and check if the fan motor is okay.

    Use a multimeter to check if the resistance of Te and Tc2 is within range.

    Short the low pressure switch terminal on the PCB to see if the system reports a failure.
