Battery not charging/discharging

Fronius Solar Battery not charging or discharging — SOC on web interface does not match

Fronius · Solar Inverters

What does Battery not charging/discharging mean?

The Fronius Solar Battery is not performing its charging or discharging functions, and the State of Charge (SOC) shown on the web interface does not match the actual battery status. This points to a communication problem or the battery being off.

Common Causes

  • Battery is switched off
  • Communication error between inverter and battery
  • Inverter or battery software glitch

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check whether the battery is switched on.

  2. 2

If the battery is not on, switch it on. If it is already on, disconnect the inverter on the DC side.

  3. 3

Isolate the inverter from the grid on the AC side. Wait 5 minutes and then reconnect the inverter on both the DC and AC sides. If the issue persists, notify Customer Services.
