A Storage Failure (SF) error, specifically SF 18, indicates that the slave thermostat's stored Comfort Trend Demand Set Point and Comfort Trend Time Limit settings have been corrupted or lost. The system will default to 0 for both. These settings are used for detecting and reporting Comfort Trend Errors.

Establish communications with the slave thermostat using the PC Command Center software.
Initiate a Device Inquiry for the slave thermostat to verify its current settings.
Perform the 'Modify Device Information' command and navigate to the Comfort Trend Demand Set Point and Comfort Trend Time Limit settings.
Re-enter the correct values for these comfort trend settings.
Press F1 to 'Perform Update' and wait for acknowledgement to save the new settings.
Exit the configuration menu and program, then verify the comfort trend settings are correctly stored.
