Compressor Scroll Temp Out of Range Event 59

What does 59 mean?

The compressor scroll temperature is outside its normal operating range. This can be caused by various system issues or restrictions. The system will reset after 15 minutes.

Common Causes

  • EV outside normal operating range (e.g., improper load calculation, system match issue, outside cooling range)
  • Indoor airflow too low or off
  • Restriction in filter drier or long line application
  • Shorted sensor circuit

    Check the indoor unit for clogging (ice or debris) and clean or de-ice if necessary.

    Troubleshoot the indoor fan motor and ensure it is working properly.

    Ensure all service valves (liquid or vapor) are fully open.

    Check system subcooling to determine the charge status; if low, add charge using Charging Mode.

  5. 5

    Troubleshoot the compressor scroll thermistor; it should measure 10 kohm between scroll and common terminals.
