No response from UI — User interface cannot communicate with main control

What does No response from UI mean?

The main control unit is not receiving communication from the user interface (UI), or vice versa. This is usually due to a loose connection.

Common Causes

  • Loose connection between UI and control board
  • Damaged wires in the UI circuit
  • Faulty user interface module
  • Faulty main control board

    Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.

    Inspect and secure the connection between the UI and the control board (P1C connector).

  3. 3

    Check for any loose or damaged wires in the UI circuit and repair as needed.

  4. 4

    If the connection is secure and wires are intact, run a diagnostic check. If the drain motor turns on, replace the console (UI).

  5. 5

    If the drain motor does not turn on during diagnostics, replace the main control board.
