What does Excess gas flow control activated mean?

The grill's excess gas flow control safety feature activates if the LP tank valve is opened when one or more burner control knobs are not in the OFF position. This limits the gas flow.

    Turn off the LP tank valve by turning it clockwise.

    Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF (O) position.

    Wait at least five minutes for any residual gas to clear from the system.

    Restart the ignition process by first ensuring all burner knobs are OFF, then slowly turning on the LP tank valve.
