E1 — Ionization current too high during calibration

What does E1 mean?

The burner is in a fault mode because the ionization current detected during calibration is too high.

• Incorrect gap between the ionization electrode and the burner gauze assembly
• Dusty conditions affecting combustion air in open flue mode

   Press the reset button 'R' on the boiler.

   If in open flue mode, ensure the area around the combustion air intake is free of dust and debris.

   Contact a qualified heating technician to check and adjust the gap between the ionization electrode and burner gauze assembly.
