What does Red Balance Indicator lights mean?

One or more red Balance Indicator lights mean the Powerbase or LeanSteer Frame are tilted, and it is not safe to step on the Segway PT. One green center light indicates it is ready.

Common Causes

  • Powerbase is tilted
  • LeanSteer Frame is tilted
  • Wheels are moving when attempting to balance

Repair Steps & Checklist

    If one light is red, pivot the LeanSteer Frame or tilt the Powerbase in the opposite direction.

  2. 2

    If two adjacent lights are red, move both the LeanSteer Frame and Powerbase in the opposite direction.

  3. 3

    If five lights are red, pivot the LeanSteer Frame, level the Powerbase, ensure wheels are not moving, and wait for green.
