High pressure blockage or complete refrigerant leakage detected

Samsung · Air Conditioning

What does High pressure blockage error mean?

This self-diagnostic error indicates either a blockage in the high-pressure side of the system or a complete loss of refrigerant. This will prevent the unit from operating.

Common Causes

  • The outdoor unit service valve is not fully open.
  • Problem with refrigerant pipe connections.
  • Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) not operating correctly.
  • Complete refrigerant leakage from the system.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Ensure the outdoor unit service valve is fully open.

  2. 2

Check all refrigerant pipe connections for leaks or damage.

  3. 3

Power cycle the air conditioner to reset the system.

  4. 4

If the issue persists, a qualified technician should inspect the EEV and check for refrigerant leakage.
