Error 445 — CCH is detached

What does 445 mean?

The CCH (Crankcase Heater) is detected as being detached. The crankcase heater prevents liquid refrigerant from accumulating in the compressor during off-cycles, protecting it from damage.

Common Causes

  • CCH unit has physically detached or its connections are loose
  • Wiring to the CCH is damaged or disconnected
  • Faulty CCH component
  • Control board issue not detecting CCH

    Reattach any loose connections or the CCH itself if it has come off.
