What does 'Noise reduction on' displayed mean?

The noise reduction feature is turned on, which helps to clarify the voice of the person you are talking to by reducing background noise from their end.

• The noise reduction feature has been manually activated during a call or is set to 'on' for cellular lines by default.

   To turn off noise reduction during a call, press MENU, select 'Noise reduction off', and press SELECT.

   Check the default setting for noise reduction for landline and cellular lines in the handset menu (page 22).

   Note that this feature may not be effective in all environments and is not available during speakerphone use.
