Low hot water temp or no hot water

Low hot water temperature or no hot water

NIBE · S-Series Heat Pumps

What does Low hot water temp or no hot water mean?

The domestic hot water supply is not reaching the desired temperature, or there is no hot water available. This problem specifically applies if the Heat Pump is docked to the hot water heater.

Common Causes

  • Large hot water consumption exceeding the system's capacity.
  • Incorrect hot water settings in the indoor module or control module.
  • Clogged filterball in the hot water system.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

If there has been high hot water demand, wait for the system to reheat, which can take some time.

  2. 2

Check and adjust the hot water settings in your NIBE indoor module or control module (refer to its installer manual).

  3. 3

Switch off the system power, then locate, check, and clean the filterball in the hot water circuit.

  4. 4

If the problem continues, ensure the Heat Pump's heating medium flow is correct and circulation pumps are working.
