ERROR LED flashes

ERROR (red) LED flashes - Info alarm (temporary), active

NIBE · S-Series Heat Pumps

What does ERROR LED flashes mean?

The red ERROR LED on the base board (AA2) is flashing. This indicates that a temporary 'info alarm' is active. These alarms often resolve themselves but alert you to an operational condition.

Common Causes

  • A temporary information alarm is active.
  • System conditions are slightly outside optimal range but not critical.
  • Minor transient fault.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the NIBE indoor module/control module display for any specific alarm text or instructions.

  2. 2

Observe the Heat Pump's operation; if it appears to be functioning normally, the alarm may clear on its own.

  3. 3

Turn off the Heat Pump at the main power switch for a few minutes, then restart it to see if the alarm clears.

  4. 4

If the flashing persists or recurs frequently, note the exact message from the display and contact NIBE support.
