Mitsubishi Electric · Air Conditioners
When the outdoor unit failure mode recall function is active, the indoor unit's upper lamp blinks seven times, then stays OFF for 2.5 seconds. This indicates an over-temperature condition on either the fin temperature thermistor or the P.C. board temperature thermistor of the inverter P.C. board.
Click steps to track your progress.
Ensure the failure mode recall function is active to observe the correct blinking pattern.
Turn off the power supply to the air conditioner, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on to attempt a reset.
Check the area around the outdoor unit thoroughly for any obstructions like debris, leaves, or snow, and ensure clear air passage.
A qualified technician may need to check the outdoor fan motor (refer to section 12-5. 'Check of outdoor fan motor').
After troubleshooting, recall the failure mode again and press the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch to delete the memorized abnormal condition.
Release the failure mode recall function by turning OFF and ON the power supply, or by pressing the RESET button on the remote controller.
