4-time blink (recall mode)

Outdoor Unit Recall: 4-time blink - Overcurrent detected

Mitsubishi Electric · Air Conditioners

What does 4-time blink (recall mode) mean?

When the outdoor unit failure mode recall function is active, the indoor unit's upper lamp blinks four times, then stays OFF for 2.5 seconds. This indicates a large current flow into the power module (IC700).

Common Causes

  • Loose or incorrect compressor connector
  • Issue with the inverter or compressor
  • Closed stop valve restricting refrigerant flow

Repair Steps & Checklist
