When the outdoor unit failure mode recall function is active, the indoor unit's upper lamp blinks twice, then stays OFF for 2.5 seconds. This pattern signifies a short circuit or an open circuit in the outdoor heat exchanger temperature thermistor.
Click steps to track your progress.
Ensure the failure mode recall function is active to observe the correct blinking pattern.
Turn off the power supply to the air conditioner, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on to attempt a reset.
This indicates a potential fault with a specific thermistor. A qualified technician will need to check the outdoor thermistors (refer to section 12-5. 'Check of outdoor thermistors').
After troubleshooting, recall the failure mode again and press the EMERGENCY OPERATION switch to delete the memorized abnormal condition.
Release the failure mode recall function by turning OFF and ON the power supply, or by pressing the RESET button on the remote controller.
If the problem persists, contact a qualified service technician for diagnosis and potential replacement of the thermistor.
