What does  and  (alternating) mean?

This alternating message signifies that the SoftSteam extra option, designed to reduce creasing at the end of a program, was unable to be carried out properly.

• Washing machine is not level or aligned correctly.
• Drain hose exceeds the maximum recommended height of 3 feet 3 inches (1 meter).

   Check the washing machine's alignment; ensure it is level and stable as per installation instructions.

   Verify that the drain hose is not positioned higher than 3 feet 3 inches (1 meter) to allow proper drainage.

   If the fault message persists after checking these points, contact Miele Customer Service for assistance.

   Note that the washing machine can still be used, but without the SoftSteam option.
