Dishwasher door closes on its own from halfway position

What does Door Closes mean?

When the dishwasher door is opened halfway and released, it closes by itself. This indicates that the tension on the door springs is too tight.

• Door spring tension is too high.

   Open the dishwasher door halfway.

   Locate the adjustment screw behind the door in the upper front strip, on the left side.

   Turn the screw counterclockwise using a T20 Torx or small slotted screwdriver to decrease tension.

   Test the door after a few turns; repeat until it stays in position when released halfway.

5. 5

   Do not use a power screwdriver for adjustment.
