What does 3-minute protection timer mean?

After you stop the air conditioner, it will not restart immediately for about 3 minutes. This is a normal protective feature, where a microcomputer's timer automatically starts it up again after the delay.

Common Causes

  • Unit's internal protection timer is active (3-minute delay)
  • To protect the compressor from immediate restart and potential damage
