What does Machine does not start start motor mean?

When you turn the key to the 'ON' position, the engine's starter motor does not engage. This could be due to safety features like the PTO or parking brake, or issues with the battery or electrical components.

Common Causes

  • PTO (Power Take-Off) is enabled.
  • Parking brake is not activated.
  • Low battery voltage or dead battery.
  • Blown fuse (20A wired fuse).
  • Loose battery terminals.
  • Faulty starter relay.
  • Faulty P-brake microswitch.
  • Faulty PTO button.
  • Wiring fault.
  • Faulty key switch.
  • Faulty control card.
