What does Collision sensor defective mean?

The Automower is jammed, or one or both collision sensors are not working correctly, possibly due to loose parts, sensor malfunction, or cabling issues.

Common Causes

  • The Automower has jammed on an object.
  • Rear screws on the body are not tightened correctly.
  • Magnet in the collision sensor pillar is loose, twisted or missing.
  • Collision sensor card or cabling is defective.

    Remove any object that has jammed the Automower.

  2. 2

    Lift the body from the rear section and feel whether the rear screws are secured correctly; if not, tighten them.

  3. 3

    Check the collision sensors via Tools - Test - Sensors (shortcut 5-2-5) to see whether the magnets are seated correctly or if the mower indicates a collision without actual contact.

  4. 4

    Inspect the collision sensor cabling for damage or incorrect seating of the magnet.
