Uneven mowing

Uneven mowing results — Grass is not cut uniformly

husqvarna · Automower 105

What does Uneven mowing mean?

The lawn has an inconsistent cut, with some areas appearing taller or less manicured than others. This can be caused by insufficient mowing time, incorrect settings for the work area, or dull blades. Obstructions can also prevent proper cutting.

Common Causes

  • The robotic lawnmower works too few hours per day.
  • The proportion setting in the app is incorrect for the working area layout.
  • The working area is too large for the current settings or requires more remote start points.
  • The blades are dull or worn out.
  • Grass is accumulated by the blade disc or around the motor shaft.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Increase the mowing time in the timer settings (page 46) to allow more coverage.

  2. 2

Check and adjust the Proportion value in the installation settings (page 48) if using multiple remote start areas.

  3. 3

Replace all blades and screws so that the rotating parts are balanced (page 64).

  4. 4

Increase the cutting height temporarily, then successively lower it to the desired level.

  5. 5

Check that the blade disc rotates freely; remove any accumulated grass or foreign objects (page 64).
