No loop signal

No loop signal — Boundary or guide wire signal absent

husqvarna · Automower 105

What does No loop signal mean?

The robotic lawnmower is unable to detect the boundary loop signal, which is essential for its operation. This can stem from power issues, physical breaks in the wire, or incorrect installation/interference, causing the mower to stop.

Common Causes

  • The power supply is not connected or an earth-fault breaker has tripped.
  • The low voltage cable is not connected to the charging station.
  • The boundary wire is not properly connected to the charging station.
  • There is a break in the boundary wire.
  • The boundary wire is laid in the wrong direction around an island.
  • Interference from nearby metal objects (fences, reinforcement steel) or buried cables.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the wall socket connection and verify that the earth-fault breaker has not tripped.

  2. 2

Ensure the low voltage cable is securely connected to the charging station.

  3. 3

Verify that the boundary wire connector is properly fitted to the charging station (page 30).

  4. 4

Inspect the boundary wire for breaks; if found, replace the damaged section using an original coupler (page 74).

  5. 5

If the issue persists, place the robotic lawnmower in the charging station and generate a new loop signal via Security -> New loop signal.
