Crockery not dried

Crockery not drying completely after wash cycle

Hotpoint · Dishwashers

What does Crockery not dried mean?

Your dishes and other crockery are still wet or damp after the wash cycle has completed, even without visible water drops or limescale.

Common Causes

  • A wash cycle without a dedicated drying program was selected.
  • The rinse aid has been used up or the dosage is too low.
  • The rinse aid dispenser setting is not suitable for optimal drying.
  • Crockery is made from non-stick material or plastic, which naturally retains water more.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Select a wash cycle that includes a drying program, or enable the "Extra Drying" option if available.

  2. 2

Check the rinse aid dispenser and refill it if the level is low.

  3. 3

Adjust the rinse aid dosage setting to a higher number (4-6) if dishes are not drying well.

  4. 4

Allow extra time for non-stick or plastic items to air dry, as they have different drying properties.
