Alarm 57 — Dry running

What does 57 mean?

There is no water present at the pump's inlet, or the water contains too much air. This alarm has caused the pump to stop and does not automatically reset.

• Insufficient water supply to the pump.
• Air pockets or excessive air in the system or at the pump inlet.

   Ensure the system has sufficient water supply and that all isolation valves are fully open.

   Prime the pump by filling it with water to remove air.

3. 3

   Vent the pump and the system to eliminate any trapped air before attempting a new startup.

   Check that the pump is now operating correctly; if not, contact Grundfos Service.
