Food Freezing

Food Freezing in Refrigerator Compartment — Refrigerator temperature too low or food too close to air port

Frigidaire · Refrigerators

What does Food Freezing mean?

If food items in the fresh food compartment are freezing, the temperature setting might be too low, or items could be placed too close to the internal air ports. Direct cold air from the air ports can cause items to freeze.

Common Causes

  • Refrigerator temperature setting is too low.
  • Food items are positioned directly in front of an internal air port.
  • Too much cold air being directed to a specific area.
