System switches off in overload

System switches off in overload — Active Loss of Mains (LOM) detection

SolarEdge · ESS Systems

Was bedeutet System switches off in overload ?

The system shuts down during an overload when connected to the grid. This is often caused by the active Loss of Mains (LOM) detection feature, which is sensitive to the impedance of the AC connection.

Häufige Ursachen

  • High impedance on the AC connection to the utility.
  • Weak AC supply from sources like generators, old wiring, or long/thin cables.
  • Country-specific grid code settings requiring LOM detection.

Reparaturschritte & Checkliste

Klicken Sie auf Schritte, um Ihren Fortschritt zu verfolgen.

  1. 1

Review and adjust the country code and LOM settings in VEConfigure.

  2. 2

Ensure the AC connection to the utility is of sufficient quality and impedance.

  3. 3

Consider upgrading or reinforcing the AC supply wiring if it is too long or thin.

  4. 4

If using a generator, ensure it meets the power quality requirements for the system.
