You notice unpleasant odours emanating from inside the washing machine. This is typically due to humidity and detergent residue promoting the formation of bacteria and mold.

   Run a drum cleaning programme regularly (refer to Page 44).

   If you are not using the appliance, leave the door and the detergent drawer slightly open to allow residual water to evaporate and air to circulate.

   Use the recommended amount of detergent and avoid excessive softeners that can contribute to residue buildup.
