What does LINK ERROR mean?

This message appears when the scan tool loses communication with the vehicle's computer. It means the scan tool is not receiving the expected data.

• Loose connection at the Data Link Connector (DLC)
• Vehicle's control module has entered an unresponsive state
• Problem with the scan tool's cable or connection
