What does Error message mean?

An error message may appear if the scan tool cannot communicate with the vehicle. This could be due to a loose connection or the vehicle's ignition status.

• OBDII connector is not attached properly.
• Vehicle ignition is not turned on.
• Vehicle computer requires a reset.

   Ensure the OBDII connector is securely plugged into the vehicle.

   Turn the vehicle's ignition key to the OFF position for 10 seconds, then turn it back ON.

   If prompted, select YES to try connecting again.
