Removable streaks on glasses/cutlery

Removable streaks on glasses, glassware, and cutlery - Rinse aid dosage or detergent issue

Bosch · Dishwashers Series 6

What does Removable streaks on glasses/cutlery mean?

Streaks or film that can be removed are visible on glasses, metallic glassware, and cutlery after the wash cycle.

Common Causes

  • Amount of rinse aid to be dispensed is set too high.
  • No rinse aid has been added.
  • Detergent residue is present in the final rinse because the detergent dispenser lid was blocked by tableware items and did not open fully.
  • Tableware has been precleaned too intensely, causing sensors to choose a weaker programme.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Set the rinse aid system to a lower setting if streaks appear.

  2. 2

Add rinse aid if none has been added (Page 28).

  3. 3

Arrange tableware in the top basket so the tab collecting tray and dispenser lid are not obstructed by tableware (Page 33).

  4. 4

Only remove large remnants of food and do not prerinse tableware; adjust sensor sensitivity if needed (Page 12).
