What does Excessive foam mean?

Too much foam is generated inside the dishwasher during operation, which can be caused by using hand washing-up liquid or an unsuitable detergent.

Common Causes

  • Hand washing-up liquid is present in dispenser for rinse aid.
  • Rinse aid has been spilled.
  • Detergent or appliance care product used causes excessive foaming.

    If hand washing-up liquid was accidentally added, immediately add rinse aid to the dispenser (Page 28).

    If rinse aid was spilled, remove it with a cloth.

  3. 3

    Change the brand of detergent or appliance care product if it consistently causes excessive foaming.
