Beko · Dishwashers
The Salt indicator on the display illuminates when there is not an adequate amount of softening salt in the Dishwasher reservoir. If your water hardness is low (below 22 gpg) and the indicator is still lit, it might mean the water hardness level adjustment is set incorrectly, or salt is not being consumed.
Click steps to track your progress.
Refill the salt reservoir with special softening salt designed for Dishwashers.
Check your local water hardness using the provided test strip and adjust the water softening system settings accordingly (Section 8).
Ensure the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed after refilling to prevent leakage.
If the indicator remains lit for a few hours after refilling, this is normal as salt takes time to dissolve.
If the indicator remains lit continuously even with salt and correct hardness setting (set to level 1 for very soft water), salt might not be needed.
