Error E117 - Primary System Water Pressure Too High

What does 117 mean?

The boiler has detected that the primary system water pressure has exceeded 3 bar, which has caused the safety pressure valve to activate. This prevents damage to the heating system.

Common Causes

  • System has been overfilled with water
  • A fault with the expansion vessel
  • Problem with the filling loop valve not fully closing
